Fellowship in Koinonia

About Us

We are a small Christian fellowship that gathers simply, like family, with open Bibles, honest conversation, and genuine fellowship.

Study group

We do not subscribe to the popular clergy-laity style of meeting in the organized church system.

Who We Are

Assembly of the Acts Christian Fellowship is a non-denominational, Bible-based Christian community in McKinney, TX, rooted in the biblical pattern of the early church. Our meetings are interactive and Spirit-led, with room to ask questions, share, grow, and encourage one another in Christ.

If you are looking for a Christian gathering that feels more like family than institution and is centered on worship in Spirit and in truth, you are welcome here.

Our Story: Why We’re Here

We didn’t set out to start "another church."

To be honest, most of us were part of the growing number of people who loved Jesus but felt increasingly "homeless" in the modern church system. We were tired of the lack of spiritual depth, seeming worldlineess, materialsm, and productions that felt more like concerts than worship, and the "packaging" that seemed to prioritize growth over depth. We found ourselves longing for the simplicity we read about in the Book of Acts, a community where people actually knew each other’s names, shared their lives, and searched the Scriptures together without a script.

Assembly of the Acts Christian Fellowship was born out of that hunger. We decided to stop "attending" and start participating. We traded the stage for the table and the monologue for the conversation.

We aren't interested in being the biggest gathering in DFW; we’re interested in being sincere.

Whether you’re a skeptical drifter, a believer in transition, or just someone thirsty for a fellowship that feels like home, we’ve been where you are. We’re just a family of believers trying to walk the ancient path in a modern world, simply, honestly, and together.

Is this for me?

Who It May Not Be For

Every fellowship has a particular rhythm and emphasis.

Our gathering may not be the best fit if you are looking for:

  • a large auditorium-style service

  • a highly programmed Sunday schedule

  • a performance-driven worship environment

  • a fast-paced event-oriented church experience

  • A one-man led church or a clergy/laity style of church

Who This Fellowship Is For

Assembly of the Acts is not trying to be everything for everyone. Our gathering tends to resonate with people who are looking for something simple, sincere, and rooted in Scripture and New Testament Assembly.

You may feel at home here if you are:

  • hungry to study the Bible deeply

  • tired of the regular performance or the materialism and lack of spiritual suubstance in the church today.

  • looking for sincere fellowship and conversation around the Word

  • interested in a participatory gathering rather than a stage-centered service

  • seeking a quieter, more reflective Christian community

Few Things To Note

We use the term Assembly (Ekklesia), and not Church (Kuriakon).

We believe in Fellowship (participation by all - Koinonia) as the style of meeting, and not the Clergy/Laity (participation by the priests only) which is the style of the church then and now, and which Jesus twice condemned in the book of Revelation.
